Brushed DC motors:

• Motor data log
• Investigation for cause of motor destroy
• Disassembly
• Checking of rotor coils (cut, shortcut in coil, shortcut to shaft)
• Quality inspection of the Commutátor and Brushes
• Inspection of stator permanent magnets (PMDC motors); checking magnets for cracks, checking magnets’ placing and stable positioning 
• Inspection of Stator winding (wire break/cut, short cut in coil, shortcut to housing ground)
• Cleaning of all parts, then checking of each parts’ quality
• Produce of coils and hard brazing – in case of coil replacement necessary
• Main ground insulation replace below coils

• Brazing coil ends in commutators and checking each of coils
• Impregnation of rotor coils

• In case of big deformation or damage or burns of commutator can cause a complete rotor replacement, because replacing communtator is too expensive (much work)

• Replace brushes if necessary. Shaping the new brushes to commutator

BLDC motors:

• Usually, these motors have no coils but permanent magnets on rotor. Thus the stator coils could be checked or replaced only. 
• HALL-effect sensors checking and replacing – if necessary
• Replace bearings – if necessary

Squirrel cage induction motors:

• Stator coil checking and repair desribed at motor winding section of this website. Usually, we have typical tasks with rotor as following:
• Inspection of rotor bars and end rings; Rotor must be replaced in case of broken bars or end ring. 
• Bearing replacement – if necessary
